blanc-area - Caltonettes Serenade were Indonesian Rocksteady, Ska band, formed in Jakarta 2015, at the beginning the members of the band, Novel (Vocalist), Aldo (Lead Guitarist), Yusak (Keyboardist), and Dika (Horn Player) were love to hang out and doing a jam session together by playing Jamaican music, until the band formed The name of Caltonettes Serenade based on one label in the 60’s name Caltone And the music is Jamaican, Rocksteady, Ska, but the admiring from the 60’s sound doesn’t mean they always refer to it, but they as well follow the modern era, yet still used the root pattern
Caltonettes Serenade got the influence from some of Ska and Rocksteady revival band such as: Alton Ellis, Phyllis Dillon, The gaylads, The Skatalites, Derrick Harriot, Boris gardiner, Pat Kelly, Derrick Morgan, Joya Landis, Dorren Shaffer, Jackie Mitto, Tsuyoshi Kawakami and his mood makers, Gramaphone Allstar, Western Special, Viking Remedy, Dancing moods , Caltonettes Serenade also influenced by the Singer and Soul Jazz band from the 60’s
